Like CR7, Azulejo tiles are a Portuguese treasure. Both iconic pillars are specifically sculpted world-renowned testaments to their respective crafts that continue to motivate the next generation. We took visual inspiration from the tiles’ warm, oceanic tones and added it to our fastest cleat. Now loaded with a soccer-specific Nike Air Zoom unit, it’s light and secure enough so that you can put the pedal down in the waning minutes of a match — when it matters most.
Azulejo Inspired
Azulejos are glazed blue ceramic tiles that are omnipresent in the Portuguese culture. They are symbols of national pride that cover sides of buildings and churches, sprawl across the walls of train stations, bars, restaurants or gloss park benches and sidewalks. We incorporated the nuanced layered blues with a copper metal edge to go along with a high-gloss coating that’s found on the enamel-like surfaces. A one-of-a kind graphic hints to some of CR’s past cleats in an Azulejo pattern.

For the first time in our history, Nike has developed an all-new, soccer-specific Air Zoom unit in the heel. The unit sits in the plate and provides an additional level of responsive cushioning for those players who compete on the toughest surfaces and terrains.
The Last Comes First
We’ve redone the last and made it all new for an improved fit that better simulates the foot. A tireless trial-and-error process conducted of hundreds of athletes and multiple long term wear tests and iterations resulted in a more contoured toe box and better lockdown in the heel.
Contain Your Speed
The speed cage inside of the structure is made of a thin but strong material that secures the foot to the plate without adding additional weight for optimal lockdown.
